Store and Shipping Policies

Customer Support:  We at The Pint and a Half want to ensure that every customer is well cared for and satisfied with our services.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us via the contact form on this site or by emailing us at  We very much enjoy communicating with customers and will do our best to respond in a timely manner.

Shipping Policy:  We use a flat shipping and handling rate of $7.50 each order plus $1 per each item (straws, sleeves, or cozies are exempt from the $1 fee if added as a tack-on option to a jar/lid package).  At this time, The Pint and a Half will ship all orders within 4-7 business days (or sooner when possible) for products that are in stock once payment has cleared.  Please allow additional time (10-14 business days) for bulk orders.  We primarily ship via USPS Priority Mail, but please contact us if you need to change the shipping method.  If an item is backordered, we will contact you regarding shipping options if your order consists of a mix of in-stock and out-of-stock items.  We are currently only shipping to customers within the United States but are expecting to expand to additional countries in the near future.  We are working at calculating our shipping and handling prices so that they are as fair and accurate as possible, and they may fluctuate slightly as we refine our processes.  Thank you for understanding.

Packaging:  Our goal is to reduce, reuse, and recycle as best as we can; and this includes our packing and shipping materials.  There is always risk when sending glass through the mail, and we will do our very best to ensure that any fragile items are packed securely and appropriately; but less fragile items will be packed accordingly with less materials in order to save on waste and shipping costs.  The bulk of what we use to pack our wares comes from materials that we are reusing from shipments we have received from our suppliers or paper from our shredder; and we trust that our customers will either reuse or recycle responsibly.

Privacy:  The Pint and a Half respects your privacy and will not sell or otherwise distribute any personal information that you have provided.  PayPal payments are made via a secure server.

Products offered/replacement parts:  The Pint and a Half is proud to offer a variety of eco-friendly drink jars with several options for straws, sleeves, and/or cozies.  We specialize in drink jar combo containers, jars with lids and straws and cozies, but we are currently offering single lids, straws, sleeves, cozies, etc, so you can mix and match and add to your own jars at home if you wish.  Please contact us at or via our contact page on this site if you would like to discuss a bulk order or other special request.

Returns:  Please contact us before returning any products.  Should you wish to return an item that was somehow broken in transit, please contact us at immediately to discuss, and we appreciate if you can include a photo of the damage.  If you want or need to return an unused item for any other reason, please contact us first to discuss your options.  Original shipping costs will not be refunded on returns of unused product.

Sales Tax:  Sales tax of 8.25% will be charged to orders shipped within Illinois.

Local Sales:  Many of The Pint and a Half products are available for purchase at The Neighborhood Co-op at 1815 W Main Street, in Carbondale, Illinois.  The Pint and a Half may periodically be present at local farmer’s markets and other events, but the majority of sales will be conducted online or through the Neighborhood Co-op.  If you want to stay informed of local/special events, we recommend you like us on Facebook or sign up for our newsletter.  If you would like to discuss a large order or would like to request that The Pint and a Half consider participating in an event in the Southern Illinois area, please contact us at to discuss options and/or details.
